- One author can use this free self-publishing only once in their lifetime.
- Books will not be listed on Amazon or Kindle by TLB under this program
- Authors are responsible for stock management, packaging, and delivery
- TLB is not responsible for delays in shipping to the readers/customers, as delivery is handled by the author themself
A flexible, author-funded publishing model offering high royalties, and lifelong professional publishing support, but promotional benefits included in the package can be availed for free for a maximum of 2 years.
Price of package as per word count.
- Under 25,000-word count : EBook + Paperback: ₹50,000; Audiobook: ₹10,000
- Above 25,000-word count : EBook + Paperback: ₹50,000 + ₹10,000 for each additional 10,000 words of part thereof; Audiobook: ₹10,000 + ₹5,000 for each additional 10,000 words of part thereof
- Hardback Edition : ₹10,000 in addition to the above
Payment can be done in two instalments:
- 50% at the time of signing MOU
- 50% at the time of approval of First Pass Manuscript
- 18% GST would be applicable above the final package amount as availed by the author.
- All the steps involved in Publishing Project Pipeline shall be carried out in this publishing package, along with promotional benefits as mentioned in next pages.

- Enroll in the Lifetime Plan Prime Author Membership (if you have already enrolled before in this plan, you do not need to pay or take this plan again).
- The subscription needs to be taken at the time of signing the publishing agreement/MOU.

- Once the manuscript is approved for content and quality by team TLB, it will be allotted its eligibility for either Basic or Prime publishing or none and the author shall receive an email for confirmation of eligibility.
- Once selected, authors will thereafter submit their complete manuscript to manuscript@tlbcity.com
- Our team of editors will carefully review the entire submission.
- If the complete manuscript is selected for publishing, A Project Manager will be appointed based on availability, and an agreement with MOU will be made based on the publishing model allotted to the author.
PUBLISHING PROJECT PIPELINE
- The Client shall provide an unlocked document in .doc or .docx format containing the entirety of the draft of the Book.
- The Project team (person or persons designated by Project Manager) will take this document for editing, proofreading, formatting, and otherwise improving its composition and structure to make the First pass manuscript within three months of start of the project. Editing will be ensuring the story has a consistent and reasonable pace and flow, to ensure the words paint a clear enough picture in each scene to serve the purpose of the plot, and finding and removing unnecessary repetitions. Editing will not include fact checking and resource / reference collation.
- The First-pass manuscript will be delivered back to the Client for their review and input. The Client may accept and approve this manuscript or ask for revisions and modifications.
- The Project team shall accommodate all or most of the inputs, delivering second pass manuscript and resend it to the Client for approval within 15 days.
- Depending on the content and the Client’s requests, this correction and revision cycle may be repeated (without time limitations) until the Client is fully satisfied or the Project Manager believes the best treatment has been done for the draft.
- After final approval from the Client, the Book will be considered Alpha Manuscript.
- Alpha Manuscript will be sent for Beta Reading in TLB CITY community via 5 genuine reviewers. Time duration for Beta reading is maximum of 30 days since finalization of Alpha Manuscript.
- The Client will be given the critical inputs of the beta readers with which they may give selected inputs / modifications to the Alpha Manuscript. Step 5 will be repeated. After Client’s approval, the Book will be considered Beta Manuscript.
- Concurrently to Step 8, Cover design will be initiated
- Beta Manuscript will be given for formatting
- Formatted manuscript will be sent to Client for final approval within 20 days of approval of Beta Manuscript. The client will have an option to provide only design and formatting related inputs at this stage.
- Final Manuscript after step 11 will be sent for ISBN allocation.
- MRP and publishing date will be finalized with the Client.
- One dummy / sample copy will be sent to the Author: Any further changes / modifications may be chargeable, unless caused by an error by Project Team.
- Maximum 10 ARCs (cost of book will be borne by author, and is not included in the Basic package) will be sent for reading, buzz creation and early reviewooks shall be borne by TLB CITY.
- EBook through KDP and paperback and / or Hardback editions will be published.
- Author sales data through Amazon and tlb City website can be seen on live dashboard of www.tlbcitypublishing.com
- An author can choose to have first print of the paperbacks (author copies) comprising of atleast 25 copies cost of book will be borne by author and is not included in the package, hardback books first print can have a minimum of 30 copies.
- Additional author copies can be purchased by the author at any time in multiples of 25
- Once the book is published, documentation for copyright shall be carried out and the copyright certificate issue to the author within a year of Publishing.
BASIC CONSIDERATIONS FOR ALL AUTHORS BEFORE SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPT:
- The contents of the book is considered an original creation of the client. The project manager and project team will work to improve the creation in terms of content and presentation only. Under no circumstances, will the project manager change the book core theme, premise, story plot, characters or information contained in the book.
- The Client is responsible for fact – checking and making sure the content is plagiarism free. The project will be terminated if any evidence of plagiarism is found, no refund will be given. Use of generative AI for creation of the matter will be considered plagiarism unless previously declared.
- All fiction books shall be published in 60 GSM cream paper and All nonfiction fiction books shall be published in 70 gsm off-white paper to ensure the best quality of pages.
- Book sizes will by 8-inch x 5 inch in general, but may be changed depending on genre and volume and will be decided by Project Manager.
- Publishing services are currently offered in English, covering a wide range of formats including prose and poetry, as well as fiction and non-fiction across all genres. Announcements for Hindi services will be made shortly, with plans to gradually incorporate additional Indian languages.
- Cover print variation (glossy / matte) will depend on the cover design and will be decided by Project Manager.

Payment Schedule: Royalties shall be paid semi-annually, accompanied by royalty statements specifying sales, returns, and deductions.
Subsidiary Rights: Income derived from subsidiary rights (such as translations, film rights) shall be shared equally (typically 50%) between the Author and Publisher, after recoupment of costs.
Republishing
Authors who wish to republish their book via TLB CITY, after cancelling their contract with the previous publishing house, can send one copy of their book to the designated address of TLB CITY as informed, and the same selection procedure for Basic as well as Prime Publishing will stand.
However, once the book is selected for publishing and if it does not need any editing or formatting, and has the potential to be republished simply with a new book cover and related data.
Basic Publishing package will incur only a total of Rs 30,000, excluding GST (additional audiobook charges will apply as per catalogue, as required by author), and we can skip the publishing pipeline process entirely to proceed with publishing directly along with promotional benefits as per Basic or Prime package, it has been selected for.
